… since I last posted, but I guess it’s just that the days have been so very, very full. If anyone has any hours to spare, please deposit them directly to my time account … I need them!
I have finished Soft as a Bunny. Yesterday afternoon when I should have been typing the umpty-millionth version of my next class paper, I instead finished this design. I have to admit that I like the other ones from the series better – too many pastels in this one. And I goofed and stitched the ribbon in cameo pink instead of cherry wine – but as much frogging as went on with this seemingly simple design, I was not going to change it. Nicky hasn’t seen it yet, but hopefully it will meet with his approval.
And an arty, off-center perspective:

Valentine’s Day was a bust, though I did make a pretty awesome dinner. Dessert eclipsed it entirely though – fresh fruit over vanilla ice cream with homemade lemon syrup and fudge sauce. Mmmmm.
And that’s about all I can fit into this post-on-the-fly accounting of life at Chateau Chaos! Thanks so much for visiting!

Your bunny is very cute, and the ice cream looks so delicious! Hope you can find some spare time soon Barbara!

Hi Barbara. I’m lovin all the Birds of a Feather little designs that your stitching. Can you tell me are the separate charts or all in one. I would love to get them.
Thanks,
Linda

They are separate, out of print charts Linda – terribly difficult (and costly) to obtain. I do wish that designers would re-release old designs. I’d rather pay THEM than pay eBay sellers!

If you find an extra supply of hours, please let me know – I need them too. :80)
Your desert looks yummy aand as for the bunny, it looks wonderful. Doesn’t it seem like the smaller (supposedly simpler) designs, take the longest?!
Hang in there!

Barbara,
The oddest thing just happened. When I saw “Soft was a Bunny”, without reading your post, I thought “Rowyn”. (I now know it’s for Nicky). Just as when I saw “curious as a cat” and I thought of “Arden”. ok. I just wanted to share my little odd thought with you!
It’s a very cute piece.

I was utterly flabbergasted when it was Nicky who chose the bunny design. I actually asked him if he was sure, LOL. He’s got his soft side, I guess.
February 17th, 2012 at 6:44 am
Wow, another finish! This weekend is ‘carnaval’ so you have about 45 days till Easter, I think you’re sooo ready by then to put these stitched designs into a nice Easter basket!!
February 17th, 2012 at 10:17 am
You always stuff 26 hours into 24…lol. So if someone does find a way to share time, can I share some of it with you too. I could always use more stitching time.
Are you still in the midst of winter or is it melting?
Hugs ~
Heidi

I don’t know how you find time to post as often as you do, Barbara, with all the activities you have going on with your kids and the animals! Your bunny finish is darling–I’m sure Nicky will love it
And, oh, what a great looking dessert–I never thought of lemon and chocolate together, but that sounds scrumptious!

Time is one commodity I don’t have enough of to share, but I am amazed that you get anything done with your menagerie there…congrats both on the completion of the BOAF and on your new kitty. He is lucky to have a kind soul like you to look out for him.

Those BOAF animals are really growing on me. I don’t think anyone’s going to get upset because bunny has chosen a pink ribbon – he’s just so classy!

I’d love to get together, Patti!! Have to run it by Niek though, as I’ve been gone a lot of Saturdays for the tax program….
