I kind of like the idea of setting Sunday aside for a bit of contemplation here – at least during NaBloPoMo. So for this Sunday, here’s a gorgeous poem by Robert Frost that crystalizes what’s most special to me about the month of November.

  2. Autumn here in Georgia is really quite pretty, lots of sunshine, and colored leaves, actually it is raining leaves, cannot keep up them.

  3. My favorite thing about November is getting in the car and heading south. We are finally on the road.
I enjoyed your article on friendships. Being a military child and wife friendships came and went all the time. At first, I used to try and hang on to them all but as time went on I realized that is was impossible. But, I truly believe that even people who come into our lives for a short time leave a footprint on our lives.

  4. I discovered something: I think I may have the opposite of your affliction in that I get all edgy and cranky in spring and summer and I thrive in autumn and winter. I heart November :)

  5. The November in my land is wet and wet. Lots of rain, sometimes it rained the whole day and nite and this Nov, major floods in 2 states on the East. The trees stayed green, as always.

  7. I, too love November and for one of those reasons mentioned in the poems … I think a tree is most beautiful when the essential structure is fully revealed. I am always moved by the sight of a tree, striped of leaves, silohuetted against a pale sky.
