lemonade

So … the kids had a day off school yesterday (teacher workshops) and we had a showing scheduled. What a combination – get the house showroom-ready with all four kids at home and then skedaddle with kids and dogs before the showing. Well, thanks to Max’s help, the house was nearly ready at 11:00 – only the floors needed washing – when the phone rang. Yep, you guessed it: the realtor said the people wanted to reschedule for Wednesday! Groan!! It was too late to take the kids any where special to enjoy a day off school, so we headed over to McDonalds where the kids could play and relax (and make as much mess as they wanted, LOL!).

… dear friend Anne has been busy making the most gorgeous fobs you can imagine. Not only are they gorgeous, but they can be yours! Anne’s selling her beautiful fobs to help raise money for Coral’s grandson, Tim. Coral’s also a good friend who’s been mentioned many a time here in this blog. Her wee Tim has been diagnosed with leukemia and, as you can imagine, the medical bills are staggering. I’m giving Anne a standing ovation for her efforts and I’m hoping that you’ll stock up on some great gifts, stocking-stuffers, or even a little trinket for yourself. You know, a gift for sewing well, to borrow from Mary Garry.

Take care, all, and thank you so much for coming to visit with me! :D

Thank you so much for the ‘advert’!! I am so touched by everyone’s generosity of their time and their williness to help out.

Thank you all who pop over to see Anne’s beautiful fobs – they are gorgeous!

(I would have told the Estate Agent that we had made an appoinment and I am afraid I was not available elsetime – yup I am otherwise like that)!

Oh wow! What a bummer about the realtor! Well at least you all got to enjoy some McDonalds! lol! It’s funny you should mention Anne’s fobs. I’ve just been having a hankering for a fob — I’m going to have to wander over and get me one!

What a shame about the estate agent rescheduling–but it looks like a fun time was had by all! ;)

That McPuke’s looks pretty stylish! Your kids are little monkeys – I love ‘em! =)

A good way to get rid of the anger about the rescheduling. I can remember that my kids always had a blast when we went to MacDonald’s. As this was a rare event it was always something specila for them.

Zack thinks every meal deserves a toy with it so that’s a clue we hit McDonalds too often. But it’s sooo yummy!

how annoying that the realtor canceled after all the efforts! well, the house is/was clean again, I can’t say that of mine…
I hope you had a great extra day off with the kids, o those workshopping teachers ;-)

Thanks for the marketing plug Barbara – I’m now up to 9 fob sales, so I’m going to increase the donation to 20 fobs, if I can sell them … thanks so much! Hugs x

Don’t you just hate it when that happens! I remember it so well and I had two babies the first time we sold. But that was a very very long time ago and before anybody thought of making their home look nice for the viewers.

I hope the children had a nice day off and it’s really special what Ann is doing.

    Love
    Patti xxx

Way to go Max with helping out cleaning. I’m glad you were able to make lemonade from the lemons the realtor handed you.
