Wow, look at my newest goodies! You’ll be seeing them again in the future … although they’ll look different. 
First up, the stunning wool that the kids and I will be wet felting (once our summer weather dissapears and we need an indoor activity). You can purchase wool, felt, and cool jewelry from wolliesjes at her etsy shop. 
And then a great big bag of washed but otherwise untreated wool purchased as a special order from Sokssawat, who also has a fabulous etsy store. This gorgeous wool will be filling some fabulous pinkeeps that will soon be appearing in my etsy store. Natural wool pinkeeps will help keep your needles sharp and tarnish-free. Not to mention that they’re simply really cool.
I’ve started the stitching on my first pinkeep – this is Currant, Coxcombs, and Rose by The Goode Huswife. I’m using a different linen (32 ct Legacy Linen) and I’ve swapped the suggested DMC floss for overdyed floss in the same color range (GAST Black Crow, CC Weeping Willow, and CC Old Oak Tree). I think it’s coming along nicely – and how could it not? It’s a timelessly elegant design, IMHO.
And speaking of humble opinions, does this difference in dye lots strike anyone else as rather excessive? They look like totally different colors, not just different lots!
This weekend I’m giving away Simple Blessings by The Trilogy. It’s an adorable chart of 89 x 78 stitches that would be perfect in a neighborhood round robin – or pretty much anything else. There are also three alphabets included for personalization. Anyone interested in being included in the drawing needs only to make that clear in a comment and I’ll do the drawing on Monday. (Note that the charms are not included!)
Thanks for the kind comments on my chart and the suggestions about software. I have one more suggestion to try out, regarding software, and then I’ll make a purchase. I’m both excited and nervous.
