once you pop, you just can’t stop
I’ve got birds on the brain, folks. Does that make me a bird brain?
You’d think after stitching and sewing a flock of birds for my etsy shop, I’d be more than ready to stitch something else … but you’d be wrong! I couldn’t wait to finally start Three Crows by The Goode Huswife. I’ve had this kitted up seemingly forever, but because it’s something just for me, I kept finding projects that “had” to be done before it. No more, I say! I know I could never last with a pledge to stitch just for myself for a year, or even a week, but I am going to finish this one and it’s going to be for me-me-me.
I only started tonight, but here’s my progress:
Speaking of birds, I listed them this morning in my etsy shop. One has sold (thank you!), one is on reserve, and two more are still available (Eden Grace and Alice Paul). I have to admit that I’m pretty surprised by what moves fast and what doesn’t … and I would really appreciate hearing from you what you like and why you like it. I have three sizes of birds (the smallest doesn’t have a separate wing and the largest doesn’t really work well with the button-attached wing), and there is also a difference in design style from primitive to Quaker. What strikes your fancy, and why?
Well, I’m very eager to get back to my crows, so please excuse me for keeping this one short. I hope your day has been a happy one!
*As July’s Nablopomo theme is food, I’ve been touching on that in my titles. For those unfamiliar with it, today’s title is taken from a Pringles ad campaign.
