How exciting to receive another birthday gift in the mail! Carol’s stitching and finishing are always incredible – I don’t know how she gets everything to come out so perfectly – so receiving this pinkeep is truly a treat. You’ll recognize that this is Love, one of the wonderful Quaker freebies from The Workbasket, and Carol’s stitched it on a 40 ct Newcastle Solo using HDF Konini (what a scrumptious color!).

She also sent me a new pair of scissors – a lovely pair of DMC scissors – these are beauties that I can easily imagine ‘growing legs’ and winding up in Max’s room if I’m not very vigilant! Carol, thank you so much for these beautiful gifts! (The linen in the background is from Nicki - I thought it set the colors of Carol’s gifts off so well.)

Today’s my brother-in-law’s wedding. The kids are wild for their Uncle Dirk and Aunt Jiske and are already clamoring to put on their party clothes (well, Nicky isn’t, but Max and Rowen certainly are). The weather at this moment is absolutely gorgeous – sunny and calm without too much humidity. Perfect wedding weather! Pictures tomorrow – assuming I don’t have any camera mishaps.
