Note to self: Do not compose blog entries when tired. Vienna is in Austria, not Australia! I apologize to all the Austrians and Australians for the brain hiccup.
Wow, today turned out to be insane. But the kids are in bed, the last bunch of mini apple tarts (or apple turnovers – I’m never really clear on the right term) is in the oven, and … I survived! Today’s adventures included all six of us going to the dentist, coloring eggs, and a trip to McDonalds – I think we packed a week’s worth of activities into the day. But this morning, before it really got hectic, I finished the finishing on the last of the unbirthday gifts, got the envelopes addressed, and … they’re gone! Hooray! I do hope they all reach their new homes very soon, and that everyone will like what I made. I’ve had numerous attacks of insecurity during this process, convinced that my stitching and finishing are not good enough, that my choice of designs and methods is too weird or too primitive, etc. … but hopefully in spite of the many shortcomings, everyone will like her gift and it will be a lot of fun for all. They’re really going to miss me at the post office, I’m sure of it.
No stitching to show today, but there is some silliness to share because I’ve been tagged – read on, if you’re interested.

Hi on here Barbara
I have really enjoyed reading all of your blog posts!! You are a very busy blogger these days and a very busy stitcher by the look and sound of things here.
Well done you on finishing all of your non birthday gifts!! Wow that must be record time ? I am sure they will all be finding a loving home and that they will be very much treasured, I for one am VERY excited to know one is on its way to me. I wouldn’t worry about insecurities I think we all have/get them but the true beauty is in the making and the giving. If people want total perfection then they don’t usually like handmade things so much as us. The best thing about stitching/sewing is that like our handwriting it is different by everyone and the little quirky bits (if there are any) make them all the more adorable !!
I was LOL as yes, I think great minds think alike too
Anyway I can’t wait , see I told you I was excited LOL
Take care and have a Happy Easter incase I don’t get chance to call back and comment again before the weekend.

I can’t stand that Grinch movie either – really dumb. Makes me leary of him in the HORTON HEARS A WHO movie. Think I’ll wait on the rental for that one and even then. . .
Coloring eggs – I love that part of Easter!!! The fam is coming over for Easter lunch so I have lots to prepare – coloring eggs is on the list. LOL

Your postings are always such a joy to read Barbara.
You must have been working overtime to make five gifts. I am sure that they will be treasured by the receivers.
Have a wonderful Easter with your lovely family.

Wow, you were quite the world traveler! Why did you go to Australia if you don’t mind telling?
I’ve been to Cancun, Mexico. : )
All 6 of you at the dentist-did Arden get his gums checked? I couldn’t help myself. : )
I’m sure your gifties are quite lovely and sweet. I’ve been a recipient of yours in the past and proudly display them for all to see and admire.

You may not like Jim Carrey in the Grinch, but you will love him in ‘The Truman Show’ ‘Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind’ and ‘The Majestic’. They all show a different side of him and I own them all!

“* Vienna, Australia”
You sure Vienna is in Australia
Hope you get an uninterrupted nights sleep soon.
Added by Barbara: How embarassing. I can’t think without getting some serious sleep! Thanks for pointing it out!

Casablanca and Hitchcock, forever
We must have a meal together, Barbara, we just must.
Sushi and goat cheese, for me too! (though not on crackers fo me). Hey, fish and nuts are grand, as well.
Vienna, Australia, was somewhat surprising. Coming from you, planet lover and world traveller, this certainly shows how exhausted your brain is. Barbara, you need some sleep!

aah, Vienna can be in Australia if you really want it to be! I’ve had that sort of week too. Thanks so much for the tip on ThreadworX. I think that is exactly what I am looking for. It also takes the pressure off me to give up my resolution and run out right now to buy up the last of the Needle Necessisities within a 50 mile radius of my house. Now I can sit back and view them all I want on the Internet and wait until July to purchase anything. Makes me love blogging even more to know I can combine my two or three remaining brain cells with all those other fully functioning brains out there and actually accomplish something.

Are you sure Vienna is not in Australia? sounded good to me! LOL

This Florence thing still blows me away. We were once neighbors!
