so that was the weekend?

Gorgeous weather – or so they tell me. I’ve spent most of the weekend in classrooms, but I did get home early enough this afternoon to enjoy some time outside with the kids. It seemed a good opportunity to do some much-needed spring cleaning in the front garden. Max was a huge help. Nicky and Rowen were … entertaining. And Rigby took the opportunity to have a swim in the pond next door, which meant he had to get a bath. He smells very nice now, and finds himself quite dashing and handsome. As he is, of course. Spin was off harassing the local bird population, I fear.

Thank you all so much for stopping by and wishing Rowen well. She’s doing a lot better. The appointment with the doctor turned up an eye infection and an infection starting off in her lungs, so she’s been on some antibiotics for that and is pretty much back to  normal. What a week it’s been … I wouldn’t want to do it again. Thank heavens chicken pox is a one-time disease!

I can’t believe it’s nearly Monday already. Cross your fingers that April goes by a little slower and more peacefully than March did!

These fun pictures of the kids (four- and two-legged) are clickable.

  1. Oh, they all look like they are having so much fun, Barbara! :-) I’m glad Rowen is feeling better… the wee darling has been through quite a bit this week… hopefully the antibiotics will clear up the infections soon!

And I hope you got a wee bit of rest… I know you must be exhausted! I’m hoping April hangs around long enough for me to know it’s here… I really don’t know where March got to! lol

  3. So glad you got antibiotics for Rowen! We had such a bad time after my boys had chickenpox. It really seems to lower their immunity something terrible.

  4. You have my sypathy. We did the chicken pox thing a couple of years ago and my DS, DD and I all had it at the same time. The lotion didn’t work for us either :(

It’s one thing when your children have chicken pox but when the carer gets it at the same time……………..Longest 72 hours EVER! lol

Hope she’s on the mend now though.

  5. Glad that Rowen’s on the mend :) It’s terribly stressful (and busy) when children are sick…

  8. Glad to hear and see that Rowen is much better. Good thing you took her to the doctor though. Hopefully with these antibiotics she will be completely well soon.

Hope this week is a little easier on you.

  9. Wonderful pictures! I’m so glad that you got Rowen into the doctor and nipped everything in the bud. I’m sure she’ll be back to her old self in no time. Glad to hear that you were able to get out and enjoy some of the weather this weekend. :)
